Preparing Yet Again

Once again we are preparing for our Church Conference, a United Methodist tradition which plays itself out every year. It is a business meeting with budgets adopted and officers elected for the coming year. But it is more than that. It is also a time to reflect on where we are now and where we have been and where we see ourselves moving in the future. It will be a time to review our plan for Mission and Ministry which contains the goals for our various groups as well as a financial projection of what each will cost.

Reviewing a year is quite an experience. I am always amazed at all that goes on around this very busy congregation. I am delighted at all the good that gets accomplished by the very talented and committed people that gather at 12th and Lavaca. I would urge you to go to the website and look over the Mission and Ministry Plan. I think you will be pleased and proud of all that is being accomplished in the name of Christ Jesus through this congregation.
